Summary: DO NOTHIN. does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Everything stays on your device.
Information We Collect
We collect nothing. DO NOTHIN. is designed with privacy as a core principle:
- No account required - You don't need to sign up or log in
- No personal information - We don't ask for your name, email, or any identifiers
- No analytics - We don't track how you use the app
- No advertising - We don't show ads or share data with advertisers
- No third-party tracking - We don't use any SDKs that collect data
Device Permissions
DO NOTHIN. requests the following permissions, used only for core functionality:
- Camera: To record your session videos and capture selfie share cards. Videos are processed entirely on your device.
- Photo Library: To save your session videos and share cards to your camera roll. We only write to your library; we don't read or access other photos.
- Microphone: Accessed as part of video recording. Audio is included in your saved videos only.
Face Detection
DO NOTHIN. uses on-device face detection technology to:
- Verify presence: Detect when you are present during focus sessions
- Track stillness: Measure face position to calculate a stillness percentage
- Count blinks: Detect eye open/closed states to count blinks during your session
Important: All face detection processing happens entirely on your device using Apple's on-device machine learning. No face data, images, or biometric information is stored, transmitted, or shared. The app only uses face detection in real-time during active sessions to provide session statistics. When your session ends, all face detection data is discarded.
Data Storage
All app data is stored locally on your device:
- Session statistics (total sessions, streaks, time) - Stored in local app storage
- Videos and photos - Saved to your device's camera roll
- Preferences - Stored locally on your device
This data never leaves your device. We have no servers, no cloud storage, and no way to access your information.
Data Sharing
We do not share any data because we don't have access to any data. When you share content to social media, you're using your device's native sharing functionality directly with those platforms.
Children's Privacy
DO NOTHIN. is intended for users aged 13 and older. The app does not collect any personal information from any user, regardless of age. We do not knowingly market to children under 13.
California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to request information about how your data is shared. Since DO NOTHIN. does not collect or share any personal information, there is no data to report.
International Users (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have certain data protection rights. Since DO NOTHIN. does not collect any personal data, GDPR rights regarding access, rectification, and deletion are satisfied by default. No data is processed or transferred outside your device.
Your Rights
Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control:
- Access: Your data is in the app and your camera roll
- Delete: Uninstall the app to remove all app data, or delete videos from your camera roll
- Portability: Your videos are standard files you can move anywhere
Changes to This Policy
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Effective Date" above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
Terms of Use
By using DO NOTHIN., you agree to:
- Use the app in compliance with all applicable laws
- Not use the app for any illegal or harmful activities
- Take responsibility for any content you create and share
- Not attempt to reverse engineer or modify the app
